The popular girl group Secret can’t catch a break. Just last week, it was announced through rumors and finally on Instagram that Song Ji Eun was leaving the group. And now Jun Hyosung stated that she is also officially leaving the group and in her wake has filed a civil lawsuit towards TS Entertainment.
This follows the complaints made by Song Ji Eun toward the agency. In turn, she submitted a request to the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board to confirm that her contract would no longer be valid due to TS Entertainment violating terms of her contract. The largest infringement comes from payments not being disturbed properly from a drama that Ji Eun starred in, contracts being signed against her will and those same contract rights being transferred to a third party. According to a recent report, the two latter issues have been accepted by the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
For Jun Hyosung, the reasons for civil lawsuit lies in issues of missing payments and changes in management rights to an outside party without the consent of Jun Hyosung herself. In a formal statement by her lawyer said, “Not only is this a clear violation of her contract, but it is also a source of instability in her promotions as a singer.”
In light of these situations, this leaves Secret’s future up in the air or towards a possible disbandment. This is especially so with Jung Hana’s, the last member of Secret, (who has not left TS Entertainment) impending solo album rumored to come out soon.
