Earlier this week, our famed boy band BTS had the privilege to speak at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.  They were given the floor on Monday to promote and initiate UNICEF’S global campaign, titled “Generation Unlimited”, part of their Youth2030 strategy.  The campaign is aimed at providing opportunities and support for young people and adolescents all over the world.

Already partnered with UNICEF as of last year, “Love Myself”, a campaign intended to end violence towards children and young people; they are clearly no stranger to those that need a kind word and strong message, as their powerful words continue to ring for those they seek to reach that day.

RM (Kim Nam-joon) who spoke on behalf of the group, reflected on his life and experience, remarking that to become the person he is today, all comes from loving one’s self.

“We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge you to ‘speak yourself’.”
